Brant Sports Complex LED Retrofit
Lighting Retrofit
The Brant Sports Complex underwent a lighting transformation, completed by BME in collaboration with the County of Brant Facilities Division. By switching to energy-efficient LED lighting, we have achieved 52% energy savings and significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to planting 18 acres of forest. This initiative also contributes to cleaner air by reducing pollutants and creates economic benefits by redirecting savings to community needs and generating local jobs. Additionally, the long-lasting LEDs reduce waste, further supporting our commitment to sustainability. This project exemplifies our dedication to making the County of Brant a greener, brighter, and more sustainable place to live, work, and play.

Royal Highland Estates
Off-Grid Streetlighting
Brant Municipal Enterprises, in partnership with the County of Brant, successfully replaced streetlights with cutting-edge, off-grid lighting solutions. This project highlights our commitment to carbon-neutral initiatives and offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional wiring.
The new eco-friendly lighting reduces our carbon footprint, features decorative lanterns that enhance community charm, and uses anti-glare technology for improved street coverage and safety. The durable, low-maintenance system ensures reliability even without sunlight for up to five days and provides year-round illumination. Additionally, DarkSky compliance preserves our starry nights.
With this project, the County of Brant now boasts one of Canada’s most extensive networks of off-grid street lighting, leading the way towards a more sustainable future. Check out the stunning drone video footage of our new lighting below!
